It is a common expectation for believers to hear a Word from God at the beginning of the year.
Having joy, peace and rest is a matter of whose possession you are and not a matter of what you physically possess. If you are God’s possession then, you are guaranteed to have His spiritual joy, peace and rest no matter how challenging your physical situation or circumstances. But a person who is possessed by Satan will be totally void of peace, rest and joy irrespective of the size of his or her physical possessions.
Faith requires an action. Having your back is against the wall and everything suggesting there is no way forward brings to mind the the red sea situation of the Israelites coming out of Egypt. They had smelt freedom yet there stood the red sea in front of them and behold the Egyptian soldiers in hot pursuit behind them.
The proof of our believe in God is not just in what we say, but in what we do. This sermon highlights one of the major problems in the Church arena today, which is to do with lack of true belief and understanding of the true purpose of salvation. I hope you will be both inspired and blessed from listening to it.
