God's Appointed Time Never Fails
"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted." (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2).
There is a time and a season for everything and every season has its own purpose. The purpose of the seeding or sowing season is to sow the right seeds, so we can have plentiful harvest when the reaping season comes. There is a timeline period between the sowing and reaping season. And it is during this timeline period, that our seeds mature and are made ready for harvests. As people of God, it is important we understand, that harvest has its own season. And it is only by having the right understanding that we will constantly rise above the disappointing outward results that we normally experience prior to the ordained time of harvest.
God is a God of time and seasons and His appointed time for manifestations of His harvests outcomes in our lives can never fail. We have a guaranteed harvest returns in God's vineyard as long as we stick to His righteous path and we continually sow the right seeds in line with His divine Will and not in the heart and mind of covetousness or vain glory. Our season of harvest is a supernatural season. And we all have a set time and season preordained by God for the manifestation of His harvest outcomes in our lives from the spiritual to the natural. Therefore, whilst it is important that we continually put in all the right efforts into our God given purpose and not be idle, we must always remember that our human efforts alone is not what produces the anticipated results but God's own supernatural mercies, blessed power and favour.
Often times when we experience a lengthy period of little or no harvest even through we are for all intent and purposes putting in all the right efforts, it is simply because it is not yet God's own appointed supernatural time for harvest manifestations. When God's appointed supernatural season of harvest for us arrives, not only would we find everything suddenly falling into place with little or no effort, but also doors will begin opening for us in places we have never thought of!
God as our Father is always faithful. And no matter how heavily challenging our situation or circumstances, God is always faithful to make a way for us where there seem to be no way. The challenges, that we face in the seemingly looking endless seasons of drought are meant to draw us closer to God so we can mature in our faith and not draw us away from Him. And our faith will only increase in line with God's intended desires for us if we keep our eyes focused on Christ the author and finisher of our faith in every season of our lives and not on the seemingly looking unchanging problematic natural circumstances (Hebrews (12:1-3). It is only by focusing on Christ that we can rise above the drowning effect of fear, fulfil our predestined purpose and march forward to the finishing line and become God's own eternal harvest.
If we are in Christ, then we are indeed already blessed and highly favoured no matter how negative the seasonal outlook. We need to walk daily in the understanding of our true blessings in Christ and not be distracted by the seemingly looking stagnated outward picture. We need the peace of God to get through every tough seasons of our lives. And we will always have His peace if we form a habit of counting our blessings and thanking Him daily irrespective of the seasonal outlook. To focus on problems instead of on purpose of our calling is to end up disorganised, angry and negatively emotional. Negative emotions are soldiers of flesh used by the enemy to slow us down or confine us from fulfilling our kingdom assignment. Challenges will surely come! But with God on our side, we will always remain productive in all seasons.
The one question I always ask myself in the midst of my challenges is what is the worst thing that can ever happen to me?. The answer as far as I am concerned is to lose my soul. As long as God has my soul and keeps it safe then realistically speaking, everything I go through in this world will only be a minor hurdle that I need to cross to get through to the next stage of my life.
Every tough season of our lives is another stage and opportunity for us to increase in growth and spiritual maturity. It is important we live by faith and not by sight in all seasons so, we can experience God's ordained growth and increase for our lives (2 Corinthians 5:7). We will experience His increase and growth if in all seasons we continually yield ourselves to Him and allow His perfect will to be done irrespective of the negative physical outlook of things. And as long as we are remain faithfully productive in every season and increasing in alignment with His perfect will, we will surely harvest the entire souls God ordained us to harvest for His glory and honour sake.
God's thoughts and plans for His people are entirely good (Jeremiah 29:11). Therefore, no matter the season we are in, we must always trust in His perfect plans for our lives. And we must continually believe, that He will surely manifest His predestined harvest for our lives in His own appointed time.
I pray the good LORD will continually empower us to remain spiritually productive no matter the natural season we find ourselves in. Amen.
Habakkuk 2:1-3
"I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry"
