A licence For Righteousness And Not For Sin
Galatians 2:18-21
"For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."
We are indeed saved by grace of God and not by our own independent fulfilment of the law.
Ephesians 2:8
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:"
But grace as a gift from God is an expensive gift and the gift of grace is not a licence for us to continue in sin. Rather, it is a licence God gave us to enable us receive His forgiveness for our sins through justifications by blood of Jesus Christ so that through His forgiveness, we will become redeemed from consequences of sins, which is eternal damnation of death (Romans 6:23).
God's grace manifested is Christ.
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Christ as grace of God manifested is the fulfiller of all laws and righteousness. And if we are in Christ, we are living in fulfilment of the law and no longer subject to condemnation of the law (Romans 8:1-8),
Matthew 5:17
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."
Romans 10:4
"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth."
God afforded His grace unto us in the form of the Person of Christ to redeem and save us from judgement of death, which is the consequences for sins under His righteousness law. Grace is not cheap because it was afforded to us through God making Christ the sinless to become sin and to die for us as propitiation for our sins (1 John 4:8-11).
2 Corinthians 5:21
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
Righteousness is Christ itself (Jeremiah 23:5-6). Evidence of presence of righteousness in us, which is Christ itself is in our willingness to live a holiness sinless life. And this is only achievable through the enabling power of the indwelling Holy Spirit of God in us.
John 6:63
"It is the spirit that q uickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."
Romans 8:26
"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
The world as a fallen world of sin is a world that is full all manner of stubborn wicked spirits headed by Satan whose main objective is to keep man in bondage of sin. The flesh as the inherent nature of sin and the gateway of sin is a stubborn goaty nature. The flesh as a gateway of sin is always at loggerheads wi th the new awoken spirit man. The food of the flesh is sin and the number one objective of Satan the forefather of sin is to lure the spirit man back into the world of sin through empowering the flesh, which is the gateway access of sin to vigorously rebel and resist the spirit man's desire to remain sinless in order to avoid the wages of sin, which is death (Galatians 5:13-26).
In order for us to exercise dominion and control over the stubborn flesh and avoid falling back into sin, we must remain reconciled with God's Holy Spirit and continually live in oneness with His Holy Spirit so we can consistently be enabled by His Spirit to resist sin and live in newness of life from beginning to the end.
Romans 6:1-4
"What shall w e say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
Grace does not mean we are void of ability to choose to live by righteousness and not by sinfulness. Rather, grace through our reconciliation with God gives us the righteous ability that we nee d to choose righteousness living and in so doing avoid the consequences of sins, which is eternal death of the soul.
Whilst we are here in this world, we must as ambassadors of Christ who is righteousness itself daily yield all our members to the Holy Spirit of God for the perfect regeneration of our souls. We must not take grace for granted or become a self-justifying holier than thou self- proclaimed saints who only sees his or her role as judging and condemning others.
The perfect justifier is God. And it is by the blood of Jesus, which is evidence of His grace that we are justified by Him and not by our own independent self-ability to attain His righteousness. His justification for us through the blood of Jesus as evidence o f His divine love for us is something we must daily cherish and appreciate through giving Him all honour and glory and worshipping Him alone in spirit and truth (John 4:22-24). We must as evidence of our justification and newness of life in Christ endure and persevere in all our trials from beginning to the end to the glory of God (Matthew 24:13). And we must daily humbly surrender ourselves unto the Holy Spirit of God who is our Comforter to ensure we receive the permanent reward of faith, which is eternal life and of our new birth in Christ, which is sonship of God and through sonship the inheritance of His eternal life kingdom (Romans 8:14-17).
1 Corinthians 10:12
"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall."
Although the grace of justifications by blood of Jesus is available for mankind, we can only activate it through our repentance from sins and by inviting Christ to come into our lives to come and become our personal LORD and Saviour (Romans 10:9-13).
Our conscious act of inviting Christ to come into our lives to become our personal LORD and Saviour is indeed our way of indicating to God that we are willingly ready to totally depart from sin, enter into a sinless eternal life relationship with Him and, live a righteous life through our daily surrender to His righteousness LORDSHIP, which is Christ. The body cannot serve the lord of sin, which Satan and the LORD of righteousness, which is Christ and still end up with the reward of faith and sonship of God (Matthew 6:24). We cannot serve the task master of sin, which is Satan and the holy Master of righteousness, which is Christ and be completely loyal to Christ let alone avoid the wages of sin, which is death. To avoid the wages of sinful rebellion, which is eternal death and end up with the reward of faith and sonship of God through Christ who is the righteousness of God revealed in the flesh, we must daily crucify our flesh and allow Christ as our holy sinless righteousness LORD and Saviour to have His way and not the rebellious lord of flesh and sin, which is Satan to have his way (Matthew 16:24-26).
If indeed your soul desire is to inherit the kingdom of God as His adopted son through Christ, then you indeed have no choice but to permanently depart from sin and Satan and let Christ as the holy LORD and RIGHTEOUSNESS itself have His way daily in your life from now to eternity to the utmost glory of God.
Revelation 22:12 -17
"And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."
